Compare monthly VPS pricing across Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Vultr, and AWS Lightsail. Adjust vCPUs, RAM, and storage — the estimate and comparison table update live.
| Provider | vCPU rate | RAM rate | Storage rate | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hetzner CX | $1.50/vCPU | $0.60/GB | $0.02/GB | $0.00 |
| DigitalOcean Droplet | $5.00/vCPU | $2.50/GB | $0.10/GB | $0.00 |
| Vultr Cloud Compute | $4.50/vCPU | $2.00/GB | $0.08/GB | $0.00 |

Monthly cost is the sum of three components: vCPU count times the provider's per-vCPU rate, RAM in gigabytes times the per-GB RAM rate, and storage in gigabytes times the per-GB storage rate. The comparison table recomputes all four providers live as you change any input, so you can see relative pricing at a glance.
It doesn't account for bandwidth overages, backup snapshots, load balancers, or reserved-instance discounts, all of which vary by provider and usage pattern. Treat this as a directional comparison for sizing decisions, not a final invoice.
Monthly cost is the sum of vCPU count times the provider's per-vCPU rate, RAM in GB times the per-GB RAM rate, and storage in GB times the per-GB storage rate. Each provider prices these components differently.
Hetzner operates its own European data centers with lower overhead than hyperscalers, and it doesn't charge the brand premium that AWS and other US-based clouds apply to compute and bandwidth.
No. This calculator covers only vCPU, RAM, and storage pricing. Bandwidth overages, snapshot backups, load balancers, and managed database add-ons are billed separately by every provider.
